Surah Mulk is a powerful Surah with many benefits. The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) advised reading it every night before sleeping, as it protects from the punishment of the grave (Al-Nasa’i 6/179). It is also known as Al-Maani’ah (the protector) because it intercedes for the one who recites it, seeking Allah’s mercy and forgiveness (Tirmidhi 2891).
The Prophet (ﷺ) never slept without reciting Surah Mulk (Abu Dawud 1400). While it is recommended to read it at night, reciting it at any time brings blessings. To make it a habit, keep a Quran near your bed. This Surah is short, with only 30 verses, but its rewards are great. It will act as a companion and defender on the Day of Judgment.
